The bitter melon plant bears bitter melon fruits. This is blood. This is destiny. Time and again, halos and wreaths, they are the fruits of nothing but bitterness. Bitter melons are not bitter since, as I have inscribed, I have fully tasted the bitterest of the bitterest.

I went into the "Two Swallows" and felt the world of Master Wu.

On a single-log bridge, a lone man, with his back towards us, headed for the unknown in the distance. Sixty years have gone past and he has returned to that same bridge, only aged and wounded. There he is, up on the bridge, this time facing the world.
Wu Guanzhong, 2010
Although Mr. Wu has gone, his paintings are always with us. We will miss him perpetually.

My first painting lesson

I was very delighted for I had my first painting lesson this afternoon. My first painting was Roses. Although I was the only student in his studio this afternoon, the teacher taught me from the foundation of painting and guide me step by step patiently. He explained to me what was the concept of art and I told him that I love Vincent van Gogh's paintings and impressionist paintings. It made me have the passion to learn painting. He told me that he also liked Vincent's paintings so we started to talk about Van Gogh. He told me that I would see more in Vincent's paintings later when I paint more and more and this is also my main reason for learning painting. Iwas glad that my teacher not only taught me how to paint, we talked about art just like a friend. I spent almost four hours in his studio, of course, the actual time for painting was half and half for the chatting. My painting was not finished, still needed one or two lessons to complete. My teacher gave me his paintings album to me before I left.

He is a real artist and really a kind man.
